Excellent game by the Oilers from the net out and all other aspects. Haha, LA was stupid enough to wake up Kane and I don't think I have ever seen Perry smile before tonight.

Impressive win tonight. Evander was incredible. To take the punishment he did and still drop the gloves! Even the kids were popp’n.

Great game, the Oilers played great at both ends of the ice if LA doesn't know by now that they have to stay out of the penalty box that point was driven home last night.

Agree. Kane's assist on Draisaital's first goal showed a lot of hockey smarts.

That's what clutch goalies do, steal games when the offence and defense are not there. Big step for Skinner, happy as heck for him. Bringer er homes boys

Lol. A whooping 13 shots on goal! To be fair, Canucks would have scored 3 or 4.
Agree with Howard, good for Skinner. Really well done.
Kings may still have more in stock though.

Beauty? That game was BRUTAL. It was 85% LA the entire game and the score should have been 4 - 1 for the kings. Good on Skinner for keep them in the game this time.

A win is a win. To make a long playoff run you are going to have to pull out a win that you had no business of winning in the first place. Happens every year, no team is immune.

That goal off the stanchion was a text book meaning of a fluke but a goal is a goal. What are the chances of that happening? It gave the Kings life though. Just goes to show anything can happen in a game.

Hopefully Nashville wins tomorrow night in triple OT and forces a game 7, let them pound on each other for a long series, while the Oil rests the bumps and bruises

Agreed. It also shook Skinner a bit, he was in a zone before that but kinda lost his mojo after that stinker.
Bring on the Canuck's

Hopefully the Oilers called housekeeping at the hotel for some new sheets. They definitely pooped the bed tonight.

That game reminded me of the Vegas series last year. Oh well. Vancouver's first couple of goals were very fortunate and I thought Skinner and the D looked solid overall, other than Desharnais' difficulty dealing with Vancouver's speed. Still, it's that mental toughness the Oilers need to find if they want to move to the next level.

Just a casual observation from a non expert (me). It seems once the Oilers are offensively pressing in the opposition zone they are an awesome team. Passing, checking, Bouchard on point, everything is a-ok and under control. Take those very same players and put them in defensive roles like when the opposition is pressing in the Oilers zone and it's like a switch went off. No checking. Poor at clearing pucks. Poor, poor, poor.
Oh, and I'm still convinced that Nurse was an extremely bad diversity hire at 10 million a season. As the saying goes, go woke go broke.

As good as Bouchard is offensively, what a chicken in his end. Always turning away from a hit in the corner. So many times he could have pasted a Cannuck player into the boards, nope.
Rookie goalie and we get out shot, should have thrown everything at their goalie. Skinner let one bad one in and it made the difference. Lets hope they get better for game 2.
Cannucks stuck with it and earned that win.
