Default Dani fails Albertans again

Royal gestapo get to stay and keep kicking in doors, stealing property and attacking whoever they please…as predicted. She never has and never will have the courage to make real changes. Just sit there and bark at teachers and nurses while invoking Ralph and talking in circles. When you vote for a traitor, you get what you asked for.

She had removed doing that as an election promise early on.

I like the idea, I want our own police force and pension program. Problem is lots of people don't. We have enough problems already from allowing 20% of the population to act like a majority.

Let them hopefully do some good things and get more trust, then come back to looking into these issues. Jumping in and doing things that many of the public don't support isn't smart.

Uphill battle for her when CBC lying about anonymous sources to make her look bad. How much of the public still believes that, perhaps you?

Reality is Feds are headed down the road of getting out of community policing at some point. Why push for it here and have us take on the costs of transitioning knowing at some point it will be driven at a national level and there will be national funding available and cooperation

Oh I expected her to fall short on a lot of things she was talking big on but sadly she is still the best of the worst

Would be nice to have a leader that didn’t blow smoke, just did what said and focused on what benefited all but that doesn’t seem to exist in Canadian politics

There is discussion about the RCMP redefining it's role, getting out of local policing, we may have no choice and might be better to get a head start on our own force.

What has become evident with the premier elect is that she likes her mandate letters. On paper it sounds good, but at the end of the day what does it accomplish. What I would like to see her do, is to select on one or two major problems that affects all Albertans such as healthcare, and the rising cost of living for instance. Get those major problems under control, and then move on to other areas of concern. At this point, the UCP government is running in 10 different directions and at the end of their term next to nothing will get accomplished.

I don’t disagree with your sentiments, but what can any provincial leader do to battle the cost of living when probably 90+% of it is a cause of our federal government? I mean a provincial government still needs to be fiscally responsible so as not to exacerbate the fact, but as the lowest taxed province in Canada I think we are already doing what she can.

Provincially she could help low income earners by capping electricity price increases, or by giving them subsidies. Alberta has a surplus from oil revenues, so use that money to benefit Albertans for the time being who are struggling. As far as healthcare, nobody said the job was going to be easy, but she has to roll up her sleeves, mend the fences between healthcare workers, doctors and nurses and get elected officials to get the system moving in the right direction. Healthcare has been an area of concern across Canada but doing nothing at this time is not an option.

Our federal government thats in power right now does not help the inflation problem but it’s a world problem and no out in power is going to change the world market.

No, our federal government is solely responsible for inflation. Supply-chain issues are no longer a big issue to inflation. Our government and several other governments of the world are the cause of inflation.

As for your comment above. The Smith government has temporarily removed fuel taxes because of the price of oil. Also, many of the things you want her to do, would increase inflation again. Only in a socialist uropia can every person be helped and saved.

Printing money and handing it out increases inflation, just as the carbon tax increases inflation. Attacking our industry and driving away investors hurts our economy.
