Default Old Town Kayak Owners

Have any of you OT owners had any issues with the rudder? I find its a decent rudder but once you get into some waves it doesn't seem to steer as well. I am thinking its due to it being of thin plastic. any feedback on this issue and any possible solutions? thanks!

Is the porblem that the rudder flip flops and you need to constant readjust? You can
replace the center pin on the rudder, with a long bolt instead, firms it up.

I just watched a video and the fella mentioned aftermarket rudders are available.

A quick search should remedy your problem.
