Default Marcum M1 or Vex flx 12 need help

I’m trying to decide between the two. I like the fact the M1 has a zoom feature but I hear the vex is more durable. Please help.

I have the m1 and it’s good for me no issues at all. I don’t use the zoom feature with the m1 cause it only zooms in on the last 5 ft where other models like your hummingbird ice series you can adjust zoom feature for certain sections of the water column. I’ve just never bin a fan of the zoom feature on my m1 but I love running it on normal and I really enjoy the unit. I wouldn’t let the zoom feature make or break your purchase just go with what you want.

See you can get the Marcum M1 on clearance at the Drayton Valley Canadian Tire for $230.

I have had the M1 (VX-1) model for a few years. I fish deeper water in the winter so I have the zoom on all the time, for me its a game changer.
