Default Mudflaps

Whos got good strong mud flaps? I noticed on my truck theres a bracket at the top to help secure the flap all the way horizontally.Good idea. Was on when I got the truck.Thick rubber also.

Who makes Alberta proof mudflaps?

Razorback are what I put on my trucks, they even make them for the wife's Ford Edge. Very strong and you can change out the plates to what you like. You can order on line or through raven truck accessories.

I have some rock tamers. The kind where you can mount and remove them as needed (uses a spreader bar and goes over hitch receiver.

Very heavy rubber, a nice plate on bottom and bolted across top with good hardware.

I used long john mudflaps on my Duramax, especially nice on the front wheels to give a little more width for when the steer tires are turned. Cheap too

Thanks, gives me some places to look.
These are for a 2010 Yukon XL 2500.I may have to do some mods on the front because of the factory running boards.

Speaking of mudflaps. I made a gravel cannon and will be blowing 50 rock chips into the windshield of every truck I find with offset rims and no flaps.

Do that to the wrong truck and you may find your knees won’t work anymore

Can you send me the prototype plans?

Kidding, but that seriously bothers me. Usually get 1 or 2 chips a year from these lifted wide 'heroes' driving slow in the right lane of freeway.

They don't care, it's not their windshield. I would never buy a pickup without mud flaps, and I like the heavy rubber ones , and the no drill mounting kits that are available.

Agreed. Even on a new half ton that rides like a car, the factory splash guards come off. I like the truck hardware gatorbacks. Most dealers have them in stock in their showrooms, with the no drill kits available as well. I think the last few new work half tons we've bought from Ford all have had the gatorbacks installed on the lot.

I know you jest. Being from the same area, I am also constantly appalled at all the Bro Trucks I see with no mudflaps and stupidly offset wheels that are 6" or more outside the fender well, and flinging rocks everywhere. Seems to be the new Douche Fashion for trucks. I haven't had a windshield taken out yet. Or you would have seen me on the news.

And with Ford and the aluminum you need the brackets as to not have the 2 metals messing with one another. Even on a Platinum diesel 350 I had to spring for flaps and brackets!!!!! Totally crazy on the price of the new back then 2017 truck!!!
Mine a gatorbacks.

I guess if one is driving a 75k-125k truck, what's another 5-700 for mudflaps.

You could try your local heavy truck shop. Usually have plain rubber flaps like you see on highway trucks for fairly cheap. Thats what I used to do when a set of nice mudflaps would've been more than the truck was worth. Used to get a sheet of the rubber for $20, would do 2 wheels per
