If energy prices explode the economy in Europe will go into recession and people will freak…. Euro will be under more downward pressure as rising energy risks will impact exports also.

Not a bad time to buy as a bird in hand. But there is upside in a negative sense.

Where's Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum when you need them?

Oh yeah, the Champagne Socialists who created the myth of renewable energy and condemned Alberta for its "dirty oil" are fueling up their private jets to head to their sunny winter homes. They won't suffer a cold and expensive European Winter. But they will wag their fingers at anyone who dares to burn fossil fuels this winter to stop from freezing to death.

Who knew that Europe really was a very heavy user of NON RENEWABLE Oil and Gas when all along their Governments were pushing the Climate Change agenda on everyone else?

Now Europe could really use some of Alberta's dirty oil, but of course our Federal Government and its World Economic Forum members have done everything in their power to shut down the only safe supply of oil for the Western Economies: Alberta.

So if you thought a $1.30 - 1 Euro exchange was bad, just wait 6 months and see where the exchange is at that time.

At least Britain has woke up to the charade of Renewable Energy, and is investing in Nuclear energy and is encouraging the drilling of new oil and gas wells.

Perhaps there will be a an awakening of the European masses to the fraud that has been played on them by their globalist leaders.

However, Europeans will be broke for decades to come because of their non renewable energy denial.

Now if there was only something Canadians could do about the Denialists in Ottawa.

Go woke , go Broke, I bet they sure wish they had a couple dozen coal fire electricity generators about now, and don't even get me started on nuclear. Vote Green and die in the cold, wonder if Kanuckians will figure it out before it is to late for our country?.

Its interesting to watch Europe struggle with the idea that they don't control everything. The sanctions on Russia (a net exporter of many needed items) was never going to work as intended. There is over half the world that is neutral or supportive of Russia and more than willing to buy and supply. With India and China as big backers they have access to all the tech they need to keep their wheels running no matter what the west does. Meanwhile the west does everything they can to screw themselves on the energy front. If this proposed price cap comes in look out. It is going to be a dark winter in Europe.

You can hate Russian actions and still use some common sense when drafting policy. Politicians are so full of themselves they are totally blinded by idealism. Its pretty scary to watch.

You are bang on the money! I'd laugh, but we are headed for the same fate.
There are lessons to be learned from what happened in Europe, but those in power over here in north america don't seem to be learning. And there is no shortage of the minions/voters, lapping it up

Job security, pensions, and a healthy (not all those funds are earned honestly) bank account will do that. Odd that just the corruption in countries like Russia headline the MSN.......
