Default Components

So I found SK match .22 ammo (they would only give me a brick), CCI small rifle primers ( they would only give me 500) and a box of bullets ( they would only give me 1 box). Then I paid 40 bucks shipping. And I feel like I won the lottery?

You guys should check out a place called Target shooting products, not sure the rules on posting a link, but google is your friend. The web says it’s getting maintenance or something, but calling is how I always buy from them. Peter Krause is who you want to ask for. If he can’t get you a case of SK, no one can lol

Hirsch, Tesro, Nordic, the list goes on. Good luck and keep digging, I know all too well how hard it is to find product these days…..I’m almost reluctant to share those names

I have a string of about 15 places I check twice a week. Supplies are pretty scarce and shipping is getting to be brutal. All your names are on it. lol

I am guessing that is why suppliers are limiting what you can buy. I saw a guy on town post with very high prices (not sure if it was 200), selling high numbers of powder. He was from the west coast. Anyway I suspect he hit a store that was just restocked, bought it all and then is trying to flip it. Either that or maybe he is a dealer getting max amount without linking it to his business.

Going though some old boxes in the garage and found a big bunch of components I forgot about, primers etc/and boxes of old CIL .22's. Wife said why are you smiling like a Cheshire cat?

That particular seller is on this forum as well, not listing those things here, but is now on my ignore list.

If I know that someone is selling at those prices, I will adjust my prices for them, if they ever want to buy something from me.

If there’s people who are willing to pay $200.00 for a pound of Varget, I would certainly offload some. That is insane. I have a hard time paying retail prices, let alone insanely inflated prices like that.

Some places are OK, was looking at Higginson's and Bullseye the other day, comparable @ 62-65.00 for powder. Some of the bullet & brass prices are getting up there now though. Not sure if Bullseye is still doing the 200.00 frt deal on powder, didn't check, had more stuff than Higginson's though.

Thumbs up Jackpot!

Just picked up some spare CFE223, Varget, and H1000.
For anybody in the Winnipeg area- Rat River Outdoors in St. Pierre-Jolys has some powder in stock; more than they list on their website. It is pick up only, they do not ship powder at this time.
Good news for everyone is they just placed another order which they expect to arrive next week. Their supplier had stock available. Which means other sporting goods retailers should be getting some shipments soon. Keep checking with your regular stores.

I was in town today so I stopped in at P&D in Edmonton to check out components. Not much for projectiles and primers but I picked up a couple lbs of IMR4831 at $64/lb. I was expecting it to be more expensive with the prices I’ve seen lately on here and Gunnutz which have been North of $100/lb the last while.
I also noticed they had some Varget on the shelf, not sure if it was spoken for already….
