I'm working TMX in Valemount. Two weeks ago the Athabasca was a mud flat. Wasn't enough water to wet your boots to the ankles. Snow melt hasn't started much here yet. OP if you are heading to Vancouver check the regs closely. All the rivers and streams except for a very few listed in the regs are closed to fishing until well into June in area 7A(Omineca Peace). Moose Lake is open and ice was just starting to open in a few areas on Moose Lake(between Jasper and Mt Robson) last weekend. You might get a bull, bow or laker at the creek mouths. They had enough open water to toss a fly around.
