Alternative to Parakeet Gravel fill

I've learned that bag fill is a personnel preference like many things but what are people using for a similar media to parakeet gravel . Can't find it any where in Edmonton . Would like to mix reptile sand with it . I do have some chromite heavy sand but want a alternative for mixing 2 extra bags . Any suggestions . Thanks

Got ya on a mission there I see. lol
Any type of very small aggregate would be fine to mix ,the key is what will go through the fill hole spout on the bags. I would try the Chromite on it's own, you can always pour some back out and remix.
Once you use the bag and the leather stretches a bit you'll need to adjust the fill anyway most likely.
Fill em, shoot em, see what happens.

By "bag fill" I assume you're referring to shooting bags/heavy bags? I use polypropylene re-grind, got it from a place that recycles. Shiny white plastic beads. Needed allot of them to fill this thing (and my main/rear bag) but they do a fine job.
