Default WTB 240 Weatherby brass

Looking for some 240 Weatherby brass. New, once fired. Anyone have some or know where there is some? Thanks

Lots of users just form them from -06 brass, 25-06 needing the least work. Set your shoulder length so it head spaces on the case shoulder, not the belt that gets formed by the sizing die.

Interesting, does the belt on the 240 present any issues compared to the 06' cycling or ejecting

just curious as I am definitely not an expert in this area, just thought that wouldn't work.

I guess the cartridges are very close in dimension otherwise

An outfit called CH4D makes a forming die for this purpose. I have not tried, but read about this years ago and there's some info on the net about it. There is really no reason for the belt other than it's what "magnums" had to have back in the day.

I haven't shot that rifle a great deal since I loaded those rounds. I can say they haven't caused any problems and seem to work fine. Make sure you have a strong press and press mount and use plenty of lube, it take a bit of force to form/cut the belt.

As others have stated you can always just use the 25-06 case as is after running through a 240 die and head space on the shoulder if your fine with that.
