What $$is breaking the bank? Dean has a LH savage in 22-250 in the EE for around 1k... even the savage axis is selling for stupid money now...
No one is getting rich on shot coyotes this year so if your just looking to call and kill a few a 243 is not a bad option either or even your deer rifle..

With those parameters, I’d honestly stick to .223 Simply for the cheap and plentiful ammo - you can get it almost anywhere, even when there’s a crazy ammo shortage like there is now.
I had a super cheap savage youth rifle in .223. For the $400-$500 it cost for the scope/rifle combo it was impressively accurate, and did it’s job as a coyote gun quite well. I sold it to my cousin when i picked up a kodiak Wk180c to use for coyotes. Wish i had held on to it though.
Or, depending on what you have for a deer rifle, I’d just take that. Coyotes prices are low, so you’re likely not going to be able to even cover your fuel to go out calling/shooting, so bullet holes don’t really matter. This year I’m just leaving them where they lay.
