Default Whitetail mount options

Hey guys, I finally knocked down a monster to me whitetail and getting him shoulder mounted. I don’t have any other mounts yet just euros but this guys getting shoulder. I was thinking of a pedestal but not sure yet. Would love to see or hear some opinions. Wall vs pedestal?

A picture of the buck would help so one can see how to best display antlers etc.

If it is a memorable buck you want to keep around do a full body mount and have him jumping a railing or a barb wire scene. Or just a shoulder mount with a fake window frame so it looks like the buck is sticking his head into the window from outside.

Wall pedestal shows a little more of the body and legs, I think they are worth the extra $100 over a regular shoulder mount.

Look at your deer from all different angles and see which way the antlers look best. Then find an area in the house which suits that orientation.
