Question Looking for long range accuracy

My 280 custom is finally starting to get shot out. It's always bin a great long range gun. I'm looking for something to replace it that will hit home at 800 yards. I'm thinking about a 300 rem. 700 for deer and for coyotes a tika 3 223. The coyote gun i want to be 1/4 inch at 100 yards. Any suggestions?

The .223 is good to about 300, after 300 your better off with a 6mm or something.

As for a recommendation on a .223 - well... 1/4" is asking a lot from a factory gun... My advice is get a stevens or savage, see how it shoots, and if required put on a match barrel.

Why not just rebarrel the 280?
If it has done you well and worked for you it may be an idea. Sometimes a new rifle takes alot of getting used to.
I keep building more rifles, but always find myself going back to my old 300 that I can do magic with. On its 5th barrel now.
