Default Pop Up Blind - Aftermarket Telescopic Center Pole

Hello all, last year my blind collapsed with the weight of snow on the roof. Anyone have any suggestions for a pole I can put up inside to keep this from happening? Preferably on the cheaper side? I want something adjustable rather than cut a tree each time I relocate it. Thanks in advance!

Depending on what brand it is they may sell replacements poles. I know they did for the Browning ones. Same thing happened to me. Just haven’t ordered them yet.

Fibreglass tent poles, or fiberglass driveway markers, or even a truck box cargo bar.

Would a shower rod work? They are adjustable and lockable

Sounds like a pole sander head on an adjustable paint pole would fit the bill

Its cheapest to build your own. I use many adjustable poles and make them with electrical conduit as in the photo. They work well and last.

That's a really good solution.

We had a couple of blinds collapse from snow, we got replacement poles from the company no problem, and they did not charge us. Best solution we found when it is snowing is to collapse the shelter at night. A center pole will work, we made some from poplars and left them at our usual spots but the centre pole gets in the way so after clearing the snow off we remove the pole when actually using the blind. We thought about making a permanent pole but did not want to have to pack even more stuff in and out of the location.

A tarp pole works great for this.
