Default road condition in 353

I am going to be heading out to 353 here shortly to start of the season. Its been a number of years since I have been down that way.

In the past the roads have been a tough slug with the mud. I am beginning to regret going to 353 this year with all the rain.

Does anyone have recent road reports that might put my mind at ease, or cause me to upgrade the tires on the truck.

Thanks gents.

All the roads in the Whitecourt, Fox Creek and fiurther north areas suck and have all summer. Main gravel roads are passable but messy, the rest are, quad country. With the new ATV rules my bet is you will see a lot of guys using quads rather than betting the crap out of their pickups trying to get around. Cutlines are going to need a fair amount of winching because any low spot is REALLY wet. Going to be rubber boots or hip waders till she freezes up.

Basically no more morning prohibitions on having a gun on a quad outside a few of the 400 zones. Can use a quad all day.

I know some of roads on trapline west of Whitecourt are so bad I hesitate to go down them with SXS. Their are 6 or more ruts 2 feet deep full of water and no trees to winch.
