Spent a good amount of time in 337 last year and did not see any bears or sign but I was not looking for them either.
I did see the odd one in 338 when I was working a few jobs though

There's bears there, not saturated with them but they are around, the occasional grizzly is seen from time to time also.

There’s sporadic bears in there. Not many like the old days apparently. Bait would be my choice in that WMU. Spot and stalk will be tough

337 is a weird zone for bears. Great bear habitat and very few bears. I would have the same two or three bears on my baits year after year with nothing new. Could drive a lot of miles without seeing one as well.

No bears in that zone, you’ll have to think about another.
On a more serious note:
I’ve been hunting bears in 337 for better than 20 years, there’s no shortage of bears, but there’s intense competition as far a baiting activities go.
Spot and spook, is different, and if that’s your aim, IMO, it’ll be at least 10 days till an adequate amount of green up has happened to make spot and spook viable.

Cut these few days old tracks last week of November 2019. I was hunting deer on a friends farm south of Wildwood. Any brown phase blackie you may see better get a second, even a third look.

Very simple, if zone has lots of deer, elk and moose you will have lots of bears. They like to hang out where their is lots of food. PS them black bears also do not like grizz that invite them for supper.

As Dick said above, the amount of other hunters out in certain parts of this zone can affect your experience.
I have mostly moved on from 337. The frequency of days where the volume and behaviour of other hunters has ruined my day/trip is too much for me.
Love the country and location but seems to be overly popular and certain etiquettes I still regularly experience elsewhere are out the window. Unfortunate.
YMMV
