Scope for Ruger American in 223

Hey all got a question! recently picked up a Ruger American in 223 and have never had this caliber before! needs a scope and not sure what to get! would love some input!

You'd best stay away from Nikon.
About four months ago they completely dropped their riflescopes

You could buy used, but as well they are no longer servicing them.
It's a shame...I have a couple of their scopes and they are great.

Coyote gun, gopher. nothing to special just for camping and casual prairie hunting small game, any one selling used im more then happy to take a look at if available. also in search of a decent but affordable red dot for Chiappa little badger 22 magnum
