howa axiom stock for weatherby vanguard

I was told my weatherby vangaurd is the same action and barrel as the howa axiom. On that note can I drop the stock on my weatherby and drop the howa axium stock in with no modifications. I shoot a 22-250, 26 in. heavy varmint barrel. Any help would be appreciated.

The Vanguard is basically a Howa 1500 action made for Weatherby,so the Howa stock will fit the Vanguard action.However depending on the barrel contour,you might have to remove some material from the barrel channel.

ok thanks, i like the pistol grip wih that stock. can i just use sand paper if it touches anywhere, never done that before
