Thanks. I’m hoping to explore more over that way again. Had a few awesome spots when I used to live there and fish it every weekend. Last few years i haven’t made it back to those spots or done any exploring

Sledded across a few weeks ago. There was lots of flood water around island then but there was a truck over there. Ice was thinner but still a foot

That's how those fish work! I've got tangled from my I fish pro more than once those fish pick up that bait and go for a swim. sometimes tangling everyone in the area in the process!

Had a good day Sunday. Fish were definitely more aggressive. Things are picking up for sure.
Fished a 70-110 feet drop and 90% of the fish were caught at the 105 ft mark. But the biggest fish came at 70 ft. Majority of fish were in the 65-75 cm range

Fishing seems super slow today. Only one small one at 1130. Not a lot of people on the ice today.

Weather was nice today. We landed 6 and lost 10 . Downsizing our tubes helped . We alternated between green and white tubes . A lot of chasers but with little commitment . Met some real nice people on the ice today. In all an excellent day on Cold lake. Will be back up on Sunday. March 31/2020 is coming quick. Tight lines all.

Big storm supposed to blow in tommorow. Hopefully doesn't deteriorate things to bad.

Overcast and a bit windy today....might snow too....yesterday was windy but get on the leeward side of the truck with the sun beating down on you was awesome...oh and lakers cooperated too...mostly on the dead stick with 7" sardines laying on the bottom 60-100'....they were picking them off.
Gonna go out today an hour before sunset to see what lurks in the depths....oh had a chat with a fella that has a wooden ice shack out on the lake and said he came to it just to find a fella and his young son in it....he gave them pointers as they were new to ice fishing and mentioned these shacks out here are people's property...they wanted to get out of the wind
I told my wife if I was to ever leave a shack out it would remain unlocked with nothing of value in it and have a notice on the door to use it if you wish but please leave it as you found it and you might need to share if I show up

Anyone out yesterday after the bad weather? Curious as to the travel conditions and if it's still ok to get around with truck.

You're good to go....only drifts as it didn't snow all that much but had high winds.

Oh and lay a 5-7" minnow on the bottom too....had luck just doing that.
