10.5-11.5 inches of ice, fair bit of snow, not many tracks, ice is noisy as always.

Hmmmm pics please or a vid.....I think all that noise the ice is making right now due to the extreme cold temps got the fish all buggered up....I was in 170' of water and got one at about 140' just because nothing was working at other depths....venison smokies kept us busy inside

Experiment Try drilling holes in 40 feet to 150 ft work the Depths fish harder. Just because one guys catching them
at a certain depth doesn't mean they're not somewhere else in the that Lake.

Seems like things are in the February lull. Hopefully it picks up for March.

tc moto cold lake crusher hyper glow with a sardine tail on the stinger seemed to get them going especially on the slow reel up after a few twitch jigs.....and like mentioned gotta move around a bit and right now there is no rhyme or reason on depths.....caught in 80-170'....just had enough and went deep...bam.

I wonder if the cold temps are making them lethargic.

I say it's the ice thunder which should settle down as we get warmer temps....from -3 to -31 I would groan too
But I'm a good note the colder temps makes the ice so we hopefully will see a long season well, into March....

Nope not yet but if you got one won't hurt to bring it....forecasted cold for the next few days but I really think we have seen the max depth the ice is going to get.
20" give or take a few inches depending.....

That's a beauty fish, mine is around that mark too but we were trolling well past garnet in like 200' of water on a slow day at 60' (lure) of water just for fun and out of now where got lucky....
Yesterday was slow 4 hours and nothing....marked a few but yup nothing....heading out Wednesday past garnet for a little exploration trip and gonna hit deeper water 100' plus.
Man lake was busy with anglers it was like little communities set up all over the place...should set up a burger/chilli eatery on wheels along with tackle....would make a killing....

You think with all the people in the the income this is bringing into the community. They'd have some out houses out on the lake and have a better Trail going off the Provincial Park.

Some towns in Saskatchewan sure get it. Groomed trails to the lake for the sleds. Grater out on the lake making trails to popular spots.

I think with the congestion happening it may come to this but as with everything else it will take time...the city will need to work with the province and the MD to get a plan in place...I know the ski hill is working on expansion and adding a full seasonal plan of activities like zip lining etc but there is a lot of red tape to go through to get these types of plans to move forward.....then you will have the people who will not support this at all and get a knot in thier gitch.
