Cleaning up bow from last season and noticed damage on the limb. Pretty sure this will b a trip to jimbows for opinion but wanted to get some feedback from guys on here as well. Need new limb?
Thanks.
Yup that’s going to need a replacement, it took a side impact from something. I had the same thing happen when hiking in rocky terrain and my bow tipped over on some rocks. They will have to replace the whole set most likely, they are all matched from the factory. What poundage? Edmonton might have spare limbs in stock. The good news... it looks like those are older style limbs, the new in house limbs are better and have rounded edges not “sharp” edges.
Update on limbs. Took into Jim-Bows Edmonton for repair. Got surprise phone call that Dave was as able to get limbs replaced under warranty. Was expecting a 400$ repair bill. Usually repair bills are a little higher than quoted so sweet deal for me. Spend the money anyways on new VAP arrows. Hope the tuning for them isn’t too painful.

Wow, that is awesome CS on Bowtech and Jimbow's part
Bowtech is used to limb failure warranty replacement ie my BTX-31 (TWICE!!)
Jimbows will make it right though.
The BTX models were originally made with Gordon Glass limbs, they messed up the process and while laminating used too much heat and pressure forcing the binding agent to be too thin. The newer in house limbs have been revamped. When PSE had limb issues they hired a specific engineer to fix them. He now works at Bowtech.
