Yep i was out at Garnett yesterday 15" of ice. Lots of trucks out around the provincial park area and starting to venture around the corner to French bay.

Whats the snow situation on the lake? Would a sled or a quad be the better choice?

not a lot of snow so getting a truck/quad stuck shouldn't be a concern.
sled and you can go anywhere as there is enough snow on the ice.

Guys a quick question . When fishing those Lakers , do you tie a florocarbon leader on directly or tie your leader on using a swivel?

I always connect my lines together. The less swivels, clasps, etc.. the better. Braided to a 12-15 ft Fluero leader tied directly to the hook.

Fishing was pretty good today, 14-17" inches of ice, snow varies from 3-12". Only broken ice was about 2 km north of PP. Green+Pink worked very well today, lots of chasers.

I never use a swivel in winter only trolling don't get as much line twist jigging and swivel is more visible.

I do a double uni from braid to flouro then a snap swivel on the end of the flouro. Especially with tubes, I find they like to spin around a lot.

just got off the ice and went straight across with my truck after talking to a guy and all went well...maybe a foot of snow in some places and at least 15-18 inches of ice.

Ahh sorry new Cold Lake policy just instated... All anglers must reside in the MD of Bonnyville or any town or city that is within the MD's boundaries.
I will post pics
