Truck and a van went through on Ste Anne today. Lots of variation of ice thickness this year; stay safe everyone!

10 inches at Gull at Brownlows. I walked only. Then to see a full 3/4 ton drive past me. A dad and a 2 year old that could just stand...
Crazy how much the cam would swing with each truck that drove out. Ice might be 10 inch but is far from stable yet.

New flx-28 was awesome.

We didn't, but one guy said he saw a "2 foot bull under the ice", we however, weren't quite as fortunate lol.

I was on travers today. Ice varied from 4-9 inches. Saw a SXS and a couple quads and snowmobile running around. There were truck track next to shore. It was a fair day of fishing. Caught 26-30 walleye and one 20lbs pike

And they get bigger! I plan on using a tip up for them this year with minnows. Any luck with the rainbows?

We managed a few rainbows, my buddy had a camera set up and they weren't very aggressive towards our offerings. Nice to get out though.

I do, but I got the idea last year when I saw a few guys with tip ups. I was shaking my head at the thought of tip ups for stocked rainbows, until I saw a big bully swim by my little tungsten

So as to cold lake being frozen over is that considered early or late? Made a trip up last year in Feb hoping to be earlier this year with truck trailer sleep on the ice.

It is earlier than usual for sure. Last year there was open water until quite late.

10" in Jackfish. Just a heads up to anyone who drives on...I don't care if your crazy enough to drive your SUV on on the ice when it's that thin just don't fly past huts doing 30mph. When the ice is that thin and your going that fast the ice cavitates and lake water shoots up the holes...not the end of the world but it still sucks!!

Quads or sleds. Ice is only 9-10. Floodwater in spots. Can’t speak for PP side.

Newell was 6-8" of ice the last two days. Very variable. Lots of floodwater in spots, up to 6" of water on the ice in some areas. Fishing was a little on the slower side.
