Default exporting gun parts from the states

My buddies Mother has dual citizenship and is moving to Idaho next month, if i wanted her to bring a barrel or stock back into canada for me how would we legally go about this??

You would need a permit from the U.S. authorities to export the parts out of the U.S.A.

not looking to start an exporting business or anything, just maybe a tapco stock for my sks, or some composite parts for my winchester 1300.

You require an export permit even if you only export one single part.

The BIG part of the export equation is whether or not the manufacturer of the parts you want is DDTC registered. If they are not you will not get an export permit, however the dept of State will still keep your exporters application fee.

To bring parts across without permits even for a US citizen can have VERY harsh consequences in the event of getting cauht up in the ever increasingly frequent US egress checks.

FWIW Tapco is not DDTC registered last I checked.
