Default Stolen truck south edmonton

Hey folks, buddy of mine had his truck stolen last night. Grey toyota tacoma, white sticker on rear window reads "cobra apollo". License BSX-7557.

If you spot it please pm me, call cops.

He left it open, and it was running in his driveway. Any idea what the insurance company will say about it?

96st and 72ave area,

Easy fella, doesn't change the fact that thieving P.O.S's are rampant nowadays, we are all guilty of walking away from a running vehicle once or twice. Crucify the victim is the way things are done now it seems.

There was a time not many years ago when u left your keys in the truck in case someone needed to move it or needed to borrow it. If your truck wasn't where u left it it meant a neighbor borrowed it. It always came back home with a full tank of gas. Now u can lock it up and put it in a garage and it still isn't safe.

The scumbags running loose are the problem. When u cant leave your truck running in your own driveway stuff is totally out of control. Hope your buddy gets it back in good shape. .

Good to hear. Hopefully the lesson taught was learned, and that the perp has a full understand what it means to fudge with other peoples property!

Hopefully the perp was dealt with before the police arrived so hopefully they learned a lesson.

Glad they found the truck.

Be mindful of potential drug use in the vehicle.
A tiny bit of synthetic opioids left behind could be disastrous, particularly to a child.

Talk to insurance about having it properly cleaned.

Appreciate that. I will pass the info along. We did talk to police, merely let them know we recovered the vehicle and they could file it.

Two friends of mine in just a two week span had their SUV and VAN stolen in Calgary both NE area. What are your thoughts of putting in a kill switch to stop fuel or maybe battery kill? Dead no power till you turn on switch. Hard to do by a regular Joe back yarder cause of new technology or still simple? You might end up with broken window and a thrashed ignition but still have your vehicle.

My brother has something like that on his pick up in Saskatoon, cost him his deductable but he still had his truck, over $5,000 damage to ignition and steering column 2 weeks without the truck etc.

I wouldn't call this a mistake! and dealing with this on your own isn't very smart either as that's a good way to get yourself a criminal record!
