If you are an investor about the only way to make money in the Oil and Gas sector is to own the pipelines. Pretty much everything else outside of Suncor and CNQ are so out of favour you can't give the shares away. Even great companies are off 75% in the last 12 months. Other advantage to the pipelines is they all pay strong, and annually growing dividends that are well within their ability to pay.
Really sad to see a once great industry decimated by political interference, undercover action by international competitors and outright stupidity.
