Are there any decent woods to use for smoking meat? Just realized we ran out of our store bought supply and promised to do some today. Thoughts? - we are doing either doing chicken or ribs.
Figured that trick out with the bark last night LOL, thanks. Turned out the Alder had a light smoke taste and it worked great with a whole chicken. Added just a bit of flavour and was good. Trying the same with ribs today but they are going to smoke for a lot longer...
