Default Another well known member "Tikybear" Gone Hunting
Spoke to a member in Assiniboa Saskatchewan and happened to mention I had done several positive deals for Brno rifles with his local gun smith Alvin Tubbs.
He advised that Alvin had recently passed away. With 157 positive transactions I am sure many of you knew the member we referred to as Tikybear to be a great guy and straight shooter. RIP

I sold Tikybear a rifle about 8 years ago, only time I interacted with him but recall him as a gentleman. Sorry to hear about his passing.

WELL CRAP!!
IIRC I got a Facebook notification that he had an upcoming birthday!
He was born Feb.28/ 1943.
Sorry to hear ,Alvin was a great guy , more than a few phone calls and transactions with him.

his obit said he died nov.10 / 18 his cgn profile says he logged in 01/19/2019 he was a great guy

Sorry to hear of Alvin's passing, he was a great gentleman and a fun guy to deal with, had a lot of long conversations with him, he was a very interesting person. He once set me pictures of himself and his new bride dressed in Chinese ceremonial wedding costumes, she looked to be about 20 years old if that, I mentioned the age difference to him, he chuckled and said "you only go around once", you sly old fox, may you rest in peace.

That’s sad, I’ve never met the gent but he had the respect of many on here and that’s enough for me. Condolences to his friends and family.
