dont forget the user who's a lawyer saying hes going to get the JP fired.... seems like an extreme over reaction to a guy getting the ticket thrown out.

People sure get bent out of shape... the guy won his case. It seems the JP only needed to hear one side of the story to throw it out. Let that sink in for those who keep saying that we are only hearing "one side".

It’s funny that the people calling everyone a snowflake are the ones complaining about complainers...

Thumbs up Good news

Thank you for providing this update. Glad to hear the JP heard your story and tossed the ticket.
There is a silver lining here: you will likely have help remembering to attach the sticker in the future.

Or maybe just put the sticker on like YOUR WERE SUPPOSED THE DAY YOU GOT IT.

That would've saved everyone time.

Sure.. And I'm sure it was raining for the next 6 months.

Coming up with solutions to problems is tough w/o mom and dad telling you what to do. Or was it having mom and dad remind you.

FTR. I don't agree with the sticker system, but it is law, and the cop was doing his job. Sure he could've had some sympathy, but there's three sides to every story, and we only heard one story second handed (biased at that).

It "sounds" like OP learnt his lesson.

Saskatchewan dropped the sticker deal years ago in favour of license plate scanners on the LEO's cars.
Automated licence plate readers use infra-red technology to scan licence plates as police are driving around, and alert them when the plate is linked to a stolen or unregistered vehicle, a suspended driver, a reported impaired driver, or even a person wanted by police.

I don't need the personal insults, I'm old enough to think for myself.

Did you forget to put the sticker on? NO.
Are you the OP? NO.

That wasn't intended as a personal attack (and wasn't directed at you).

I just hate it when people are lazy and blame others (the cop in this case).

When you reference my "mom and dad looking out for me", it's not meant as a compliment.

First off, thank you too everyone for your support and information shared.

Secondly to those who think I am a liar, or my wife provoked the officer, or that the law is black and white - the JP threw out the ticket after 30 seconds of conversation. That it is, that is the end of the update. You guys can speculate whatever you want, but its done, case closed. I do not need to explain anything further to you.
