Default Buck Lake South

Planning on taking my Dad ( he's 80) out for a day of fishing in the next week or two.

We don't have tags for any lakes so it would be C & R.

Wondering if anyone has been out to Buck? If so, what area is best for access? I haven't been there in over 30 years.

Curious about access for a vehicle because he can't take the cold for very long. We don't have a tent and walking on isn't an option.

We may try Pigeon if access is decent at Mulhurst or along the North side.

Maybe Wabamun?

I appreciate any reports or access information.

Thanx in advance.

Probably get the most action at wabamun. Seba beach side is usually more productive for me.

Thanks.

Last time I was at Seba there was a gate up at public access. Maybe that is just for the Open water season?

Is it still there?

Are there other access points?

Buck lake south end follow the contour lines around 16 feet and follow the trail. The fish tend to follow the contour lines and pass through throughout the day.
There is perch there but i havent found them on the hard ice with how little i get out.

If it is the Buck Lake by Breton, the walleye limit is 1 over 50cm. I was there in Late January and really good luck for both pike and walleye. We did manage to get one walleye keeper. We were fishing off the large point on the East side of the lake, 10-12 feet of water.
