Default Iron Horse Trail

ATV dudes, who have rode the IHT? We checked it out last weekend and rode from Waskatenau to about 20K past Smoky Lake and back. Waskatenau to SL was pretty plain. Where are the good spots to camp past Smoky? Looking at doing a full weekend thing with the family.

Thanks.
Airborne.

Once you get to elk point on the south leg it pretty much follows the banks of the NSR. There’s camping at both heinsburg and lindburg.

Tried the Iron Horse Trail once. This is by far the most boring trail I've ever ridden, might as well get in th car and ride on the highway.

Thanks for the input.

When quadding with a wife who is inexperienced and still a little timid on her machine and two small kids. Boring is just fine with us.

Thanks again.

Smoky lake to Bellis would be close to you further is elk point to Lindbergh is also good.

I really like that the towns are quad friendly and it’s fine to roll up to the pumps, restraunts, motels, and in our case, Tim Horton drive through... lol. No need to pack extra gas around.
