This is one of the best tips on here. Taxes and utilities never go away, just up. No need to live in squalor, but if you’re paying a big mortgage and are house poor, that’s no good either. Way too many of us get caught up in buying more then we need........I’m one of them

Have a grocery list and stick to it. Nothing worse than grocery shopping when you're hungry with no list. When making a list, have a meal menu planned out and buy the ingredients accordingly. It's amazing how much less food waste there is!

Set up your own computer(s) with older high-end hardware and a good downloaded Linux distro. Or build your own hardware with basic performance parts (i.e. no glass cases, water cooling, colored disco lighting etc) and add a good Linux distro. Top off with xen and freeBSD or Solaris or VMS v.9.x for some variety if interested.

Avoid microsoft doze pay-through-the-nose software like the plague.

I have two areas I need to improve on to save money.
1. Stop buying guns.
2. Stay off Amazon.
I've tried...but it appears I have a problem
