I had one for a short time. Unlike many people, I thought it had a great trigger, and was very easy to find an accurate load for. I sold it because it was just too darned heavy. Suppose I could have lost weight, but sadly, selling it was easier

I think an Ultra Lightweight in 257 Wby would be a great rifle.

I had 3 different 257 Weatherby rifles. 2 Vanguard S2 and A MK V Ultra light weight. I used 100 gr TSX bullets in each, and each shot well under MOA. The MK V had a nice trigger as well.

I've had a couple of 257's but not in Accumarks. The cartridge is everything you think it will be, fast, flat, accurate and hard hitting as well as being relatively easy to load for. I've had good luck with 100 gr TSX bullets among others.

I have owned a 257wby, which I took deer, elk, pronghorn and mountain goat with. I liked the cartridge, but I was disappointed with both of my Mark V rifles.
