Was at Gull today, caught 6 burbs and 3 whites but it took a while for the whites, not super aggressive yet. I don't believe burbs are laying eggs yet but they are gathering up in bunches for sure. The whites love burb eggs and will be more aggressive during the major part of the spawn.
Not quite there yet imo.
Thanks are people driving 3/4 tons way out on gull lake like brownlows way out!? And sylvan rr 23 are guys driving out!? How thick is the ice and is gull really hard to see down murky wise!? Thanks

Gull is sort of murky can still see the bottom if you put your head right above the hole. I got one burbot at gull and a bunch of super aggressive perch didn't see any whites or pike

Fished both on the weekend and both are fine for travel. Lots of ice over 25 inches. With the colder temps, might make some noise, but will be nice and solid. Sylvan had really good ice. Gull is cloudy for sure. You might be able to see 6-7 feet at most which limits your white fishing if you like to sight fish. Sylvan we fished in 18 FOW and no problem seeing fish. Pick your poison...
