question on changing a scope

I have a sako 75 and want to take the scope off and put it on a browing x bolt, will the hard wear on the sako fit on the browing. (mounts) thanks

Maybe but probably not. You may have to buy new rings.

The bases won't fit,but depending on the type of rings,they may fit.

I think the Sako mounts only fit the Sako guns so you will need new rings and bases. Not 100% but pretty sure.

Unless of course he didn't use Sako rings and bases.If he used another brand of rings and bases,he may be able to at least reuse the rings.

I had only one Sako and it was not possible to exchange anything with any other setup. But times have changed, thats why I said I was not 100% sure. I guess it would help to know what he had.

I never tried, because all I have are Sako m75 rifles. As mentioned, if you have the Optilocks rings and bases on the Sako, I pretty much will say they wont cross over to the Sako due to the locking pin. But if you have other rings such as Millets or Leupolds...maybe.
