Default 400 or 305?

We are heading out next week on a 5 day trip looking for elk. we have scouted 400 much this year and have a few good camp/hunt areas in mind. I worry about the pressure though and am starting to second guess my chosen WMU. So, what the hell, thought I'd ask you all. what do you think? 400 or south 305 in the hills?

During the week there won't be that much pressure..Get in there and hike. Anywhere around there is good. Again like last year a few of us on here are going to tell everyone the same thing. The work you put in will pay off but it depends how bad you want it and how hard your willing to work for it.

Goodluck!

I was gonna say worried about the pressures in 400 305 is not a better choice if your worried about pressure

Well. Back and without any meat. We didn't see so much as one elk. Heard one bugle on the second night but couldn't pinpoint the location. Saw very little sign as well. Had a bunch of run ins with moose, and a close encounter with a Female Grizz with 2 cubs at about 20yards but that was it.

We must have glasss and checked out every valley west of willowbury ridge and north of north lost valley up to the fire watch . Dang. Good thing it's still early!

Well
Hate to tell you...
Ya missed at least 2 in that stretch.

I am sorry, but I did educate one early in the season. My girls wanted to see one.

Those buggers. Probably just over the ridge from where we bumped into Mrs Grizz.
