Default Mb 650

Hey there!

anyone out there using the MB650 on Coyotes? I'm looking to buy a dozen to give foot holds a whirl this year online and am just looking for a little feed back.

Are the Cast jaw 650's offset?

any idea where a guy could track down 'one hand trap setters' for the 650 as well as a 'cookie cutter'?

is the 650 too much trap or should i be looking at the 550? the oversized pan, dogless system, 6 inch jaw spread, locked down jaws and lack of tinkering required out of the box has grabbed my attention!

I recently purchased a few Bridger #3 Canadian modified but im not overly impressed with the quality of them.

These were/are on my wish list. The cast have a 1/4 offset. Marty told me he could get them.

Get the wolf setters if they will work on the 650s. I run them on my 750 beaver traps and will not leave home with out them.

If you are looking at getting a set let me know as I am needing to order another set for myself.

The Bridger modified traps work well with the pit pans and stainless dogs.

I use them and they are awesome, I have painted them either white for snow or grey for dirt and have never had a pull out. Use setters and you will love them.

hey so im a little curious as to how this paining of the traps works. Do you still wax your 650's? I've heard that the pan tension gets lighter and the trap speeds up after waxing as well.
did you prime them at all?
after some research i've found that excess wax on the tooth (night latch) of the dogless system makes very inconsistent pan tensions. have you experienced this at all with paint?
