Went to Lac St Anne yesterday and entered through the alberta beach boat launch. There was around 18" of thick solid solid ice with another inch or two of white slushy ice on top. Fair bit of snow so be sure to have atleast a 4x4 if venturing out far as I had to help pull someone out yesterday.

Awesome thanks! Do you think Gunn launch would be the same with slushy ice? We would not be going far, Ross Haven at the furthest.

Went yesterday. Access from Mulhurst Bay was really good with little snow on the ice. Ice was at approximately 2 feet thick.
Fished the point just south of Mulhurst. One friend filled his two A draws and another caught one of his B Draws. A couple pike but no keepers. Started biting just before sunset.

Was at Chain lakes today. Fished the north end. 14" of ice. No snow cover. Slippery as s***. Ice is fine for walking on. Wouldn't take a truck. Not sure if people drove on at the south end or not.

I think Gunn launch should have similar conditions although I cant be 100% sure as I dont know if there are any springs around that area.
Stay safe and tight lines

Seemed good, I don't wander around checking everywhere but there were guys driving back from the north side when I got there. Just little skiffs of snow on the ice.

Was at Gregg Lake out North of Hinton Saturday and Sunday. Was between 17 and 22 inches of ice where I was at. Fluctuated pretty quickly (that difference was within about 10 feet) and lots of air bubbles in it.

Sherburne Res. 10.5" hard clear ice. Edge is gone. Find a lucky spot or you have to deal with about a foot deep of water. Reasonable day early and late bite couple eyes in the mix.

twin last week about 15 inches today around 10 inches. Ice looking a lot like spring ice, slushy drilling. safe to walk but highly advisable to NOT drive on any southern reservoir. not that you could really get on the ice anyways as the rot is at shore.

Just got home from milk river ridge res. Lots of open water at the west end and out from the campground. Open water along the shore on the east end by the free camping but I was able to Get on about 6 or 7 inches of crappy but safe ice. Got skunked

Went to Lac St Anne today. Tried the island out past Alberta Beach, nothing there. No bites, did not see a thing. Fished 11-15 feet.
Went over to Ross Haven, many pressure ridges all around. Not sure if they are new or old. They did seem snowed over though so maybe old. Ice was making a lot of noise though. Cracking noises and deep pressure releasing type sounds. Spooked me a few times. Caught one hammerhandle there. Only the 1 fish all day.
Ice is a good 20-22 inches. Still solid.

Gull Lake
Hey guys, looking for some info on the ice conditions at Gull lake. Thinking of getting in from brownlows. Is it still safe to drive a truck out there?

Just returned from Badger Reservoir, 15" of ice in 5-8fow and about 12" in 15fow on the South West side.
I always have a great time at Badger, using the Kamooki Smartfish lures I managed two pull in 2 skinny but longer pike, must have been around 3ft mark, but all less than 2lbs, and my buddy managed to hook one right away with a Macho Minnow.
No snow on the ice and slippery as heck, what a horrible time to forget my cleats.

Maybe a typo? No way a 3 ft Pike could be less than 2 lbs.
Anyone been to McGregor lately? I assume conditions would be similar to Badger, but they could be different, especially at the South end.

We were going to try Beauvais this morning but they have danger thin ice signs up, so we went to Beaver Mines. ice was about 8" or so, might be float tube season soon if the weather stays warm / windy.

We were at Brownlows yesterday - it's closer to 30" not 30 cm for sure.
Despite the warm weather - there is 4"-5" of white pack ice on top of 24"-25" of solid clear ice .......
I was surprised too ....... it continues to grow despite the warm weather.

Lower kananaskis
Was out today..... No fish..... 10" of tape on the tape measure north of the inlet from upper. Was out on V-day last week and it was 12-13 " straight out from the inlet. Seems to have lost 10-15' of ice since the 14th.... Way too much ice cracking loud enough and close enough to make you want to leave early... So we did!

Around 9" on the east side of Travers. Real slick with no snow at all. You could hear the melt and the shore is breaking up. With +16 on the way tomorrow and a warm week after I'm not sure it will be walkable afterwards.
