Your gonna have a lot of fun with it . Get yourself a video editing software program for your PC . Add music and whatever else to your videos . I plan on making hunting videos wth mine , will be using couple other cameras also for different camera views , aerial view , ground view ect .

If you get a polarized lens for the camera , you will see schools of fish very well as polarized lens eleninates the glare over water

Question for the guys that own these.

How reliable is the communication with the drone from the controller?. Is it line of sight between the operator and the drone or can the drone be controlled while fling around hills or in valleys, out of sight of the operator. Or in a combination of heavy trees and ground.?

Out of sight will work to an certain extent but line of sight can give you up to 7km according to the manufacturer , also if the drone looses contact with the remote control , it will come home by its self and land exactly where you launched it from , it remembers the GPS coordinates prior to take off

Cool videos.

There is a drone out now that will follow you where ever you go. You wear a wrist watch like gps unit and the thing will follow you at a predetermined distance taking video as it goes. A few months back I saw a video of a guy skiing and was it following him down the hill. Pretty cool. At that time they were taking pre-orders as the unit was not for sale yet.

I'd like to have one taking videos of my boat running a couple of the rapids around here.

The phantom 3 will follow you also , the one your talking about is the beebop it's a cheaper model then the phantom 3 , phantom 3 is by far better quality then that one

Drones are dangerous. They should be strictly controlled and you must have a license to operate one.

I think your attitude and 6 hours flying time trumps that.

See thread "Aerial Drone Users"

To answer your question, they're not. Customer service is even worse. If your interested in the hobby, I suggest building your own, quality drone.

The DJI stuff is unrealiable, and the picture quality is not what you'd expect. Quite grainy unless used in perfect lighting conditions.

Better off to build something with an actual quality lens if you appreciate crisp, detailed pictures and video.

The DJI phantom 3 works amazing , picture quality in 1080p and 4K ultra HD are amazing quality , look at my drone videos you will see the crisp clean quality of the video I even have a night flight video with very low light and looks good
