Default Alberta trapping in BC.

Hello was just wondering how it works for an albertan who has a trapline in BC. We have had the family trapline in BC forever, and it's now come time that me and my brothers take on the duties and start running it. We have are names on the line, but we are all in alberta. Also if I take the trapping coarse in alberta does it transfer over or should I take it in BC? Any info would be great thanks for your time.

You can buy a licence in BC and trap away. I don't know if they have a trappers course requirement or not.

I'm pretty sure that the AB course is recognized in BC and SK but you'd better confirm that by calling the ATA in Westlock.

You can not just buy a license and trap away as martys says. You must take a course but not sure if they are transferable between provencies. Get a copy of the B.C. regs for the rules will also be different.
Where abouts in B.C. is your line.

Trapper Ed courses taken since July 1, 1989 in the Yukon and Alberta are approved in BC.
