COOL! We will be heading to the range in the next few days as well, likely only out to 300 , may go to 500 however.
I don't think there is steel at the longer rages yet

I dont mind shooting in winter, just need my can of burning methanol to warm the hands every few rounds.

I used to shoot all winter long, but don't seem to have as much time these days.

Out the back door, behind the barn, sweep the snow off the bench rest and Bang. No big deal. Merry Christmas.

I shoot year 'round...and it is interesting to observe how bullets behave in different air densities throughout the seasons. My favorite CF season is fall.

If your shot hits a bungee, does it fall off the skidoo?

I go to the range more often in the winter. I have more time(summer is busy with family), the range is way quieter(I prefer the range empty which it often is at 8-9am), and barrels cool faster. I put three or four boxes through each big game rifle, and shoot rimfire between groups each winter. Then I go one last time in July before the mad rush of sight-in season and just shoot a few as a final check.

No, the tail light flashes so I know I got a hit.

I have been out at least once or twice a week since last summer. The weather has been very cooperative so far. I do need to wait until the weather warms up to finalize some loads though.
