Default Weatherby PA-08 Upland

I am seriously considering purchasing this shotgun. Has anyone tried it out yet?

I have the semi auto 12 and its nice and light. I put a new front bead on barrel and it was good to go. The finish is not the greatest but for the price its like a 870 rem. Just paying for name i'd go get the remington 870 pump and lots of shells for the price of the upland. I also heard the weatherby upland is just a re-stamped walmart shotgun. Turkish made. Just paying for the name. Don't get fooled like i did go get the 870 for 300 bucks you won't regret it. And if your handy you could refinish the wood so it looks like a wingmaster.

Part of my fondness for the Weatherby, is that the 12 gauge is only 6.5 pounds. Most 20 gauges are not even so light.

Mossbergs are pretty light as well probably for the same reason as the weatherby... they are cheap. If you want to pay more for less I say go for it man... heck lots of guys think spending more on a tika than a ruger or a winchester to save weight is a good idea.

Does Turkish make typically constitute low quality in firearms?
