Hi everybody just joined today and completely new to this. Hunting season is here and I CANT find 8mm ( 7.92x57 ) soft point anywhere online or by calling gun shops all is sold out. Anyone have any bulk or especially SOFT POINT for sale please let me know. Thx I greatly appreciate it !!! Also wouldn't mind buying a few boxes of 7.62 x 54r SOFT POINT too.

I'm quite sure I saw some 8mm at Calgary shooting center last time I was in.

Lots of good reasons to load 8x57
#1 - If your rifle is suitable, you can load to CIP specs rather than SAAMI.

Make sure that any loaded ammo you purchase, is brass case & Boxer primed.

Good Luck, YMMV.

I had gotten some from canada ammo but I see they're out.

SFRC has some: http://www.theammosource.com/index.p...oducts_id=4796

Leduc Canadian Tire had some last time I was in.

FMJ and Soft Point. Not sure if they still do? Not cheap.... also, remember, North American loaded 8mm Mauser is always loaded light compared to Euro loads. Anything over 100 yards, you'd better hold a little higher than normal.

Rolling yer own is the best.
