Question on Applying for draws
I feel dumb asking this after 40 years of hunting.
In the old days the regulation table said you may only APPLY for 1 of these first 2 or 6 or whatever.
Now it say you may OBTAIN only 1 of the first 2 or 6 or whatever.
So if I am reading that right, a person can apply for cow and bull and calve moose draws every year? You can 999 two of the three?
I'm usually pretty up on the draw stuff. but I have never noticed the wording change and have always only put in one draw for either cow or bull elk or moose.
Did it change?

Nope, you can only put in for 1 of the 3. It's the same for elk except you can also put in for the special WMU 212 antlerless elk draw. You can also apply for both antlered and antlerless mule deer.

There's 2 columns, one which says how many of the group you can APPLY for, and the other column says which ones you can OBTAIN as in actually get drawn for

You seem to think that you know how the system works, so why don't you try applying for both antlered and antlerless moose ,using 999 for one, and let us know how you make out.

X2
The system will automatically omit choices that you no longer qualify for once you place your first draw in a series...999 a single moose draw and the others disappear.

If you attempt applying for both, be certain you apply FIRST for the draw you want most. I say this because the online system will block the option of even seeing the other moose draws once you apply for one. AKA: obtain/apply is arbitrary...you will only have the option of one moose draw, whether you "999" or not

Come on, No sarcastic comments are needed Elk. I thought I knew and still do what I have always done. Just asked a question. I have always only applied for one of whatever except deer, but never noticed the wording changed until no. Obtain to me is to buy or get. Apply to me is to apply but not buy or get. So all I was asking was if something has changed or they just changed wording which doesn't mean what it is supposed to mean. I guess I'm just old school as far as wording goes.

You can see them disappear as soon as you add the draw to your cart before you pay. They'll reappear if you empty your cart. I did this with antlered moose the other day. Moment I added it to my cart the antlerless moose disappeared.

There is only one draw book, but there is a chart for what you can apply for, and another for what you can obtain. You can only apply for one moose draw, but if you don't draw what you apply for, you can purchase other tags that may be left over.
