Default Pooh / Scat / Droppings

Don't think there's a thread on this topic specifically...

But I just want peoples opinions (I know, be careful what you wish for).

Whose poo is this ? Yogi (grizzly), or Booboo's (black) ?

They were all found within 1km, the last 2 found within 100ft of each other.

Seemed semi-fresh, 12-24 hrs old... Right where I was shooting gophers !

I think that its pretty near impossible to tell if scat is from a big black bear or a smaller grizzly, aside from that old joke about little bells and pepper spray being present in the grizzly's. A sizeable bear in any case!

Information on whereabouts would be more useful to me than the pic. Also did you check nearby soft spots for tracks?

It's that easy...
I know that meat in their diet will turn scat more brown & runny, more veggies turn it black & lumpy.
But right now either bear could be eating mostly greens...

...and those binoculars are a dead giveaway; I say a grizz is the only bear that can pass a set of those.
