Default Girth

This might be a silly question to some but where do you take a girth measurement on a fish? I would assume at the thickest point but I am not sure, thank you in advance!

Just behind the pectoral fins I believe, I'm sure the IFGA website has the answers

Ive always been taught just behind the pecs, and not the fattest part of the fish !
