My T-3 Varmint Stainless likes the 142gr Matchking ahead of R-22 in Lapua cases, and 210 primers. It shoots the 129gr Accubond LR almost as well, using the same powder, cases, and primers.

My go to load is 140 Hornady flat base over Varget; not exotic but very reliable and knocks deer dead.

In my win 1885 6.5x55 I'm using Lapua brass, Rem 91/2 primers, 46gr of R22 and 140gr Hornady SST's. Seems to work pretty good.

I really like the 156 grain Norma bullets and the 160 grain Seirra SMP's, but my 6.5X55 express rifle likes the 140 grain Game Kings really well.
Either 4831 or varget for powder.

I used nothing but the big 160's for years and they worked amazingly well!
They were the goto bullet for the M38's I used to customize for guys.
Not real fast but the penetration was perfect for their muzzle velocity.

Default 6.5x55

I am also working up a load for a T3 6.5x55 I bought for my son. The factory 140gr's i tried shot pretty darn good. I tried to load up some lighter 120gr Nosler ballistic tips to keep the recoil down for my son. I tried I4831, I4350, and RL15 as this is what i had readily avail. None of the loads shot very well at all, not even close to the 3 different factory 140's (Nosler, Hornady, Federal) i shot. thinking the rifle may not like the lighter bullets. Hoping to try some Nosler Accbd long range 129grs if i can ever find any.

Now that the hunting season it done I would like to get some good paper shooting bullets and start working some good loads up just to get out to the range. I don't want to fire expensive hunting bullets down the range.

Should be a good choice i put this together with a small ring turkish 98 and a cg63 target barrel cut to 23" its just gonna be a bush basher or loaner gun i just like projects so a simple dependable load is my main goal speed is not a deciding factor for this one

108 Lapua secnars bullets for a varmint load.
140 Woodlieghs for deer etc.

My .260 shoots very well with both of the above.
95 gr. Hornady V-max are one holers BUT is not very hide friendly!
140 gr VLD's work very well in both rifles but have only taken some coyotes with them so can not comment on there usefulness as a big game bullet.

129 Hornady sp. worked really well but caused to much tissue damage on deer, so I stopped using them.

My old swede M96 shot every bullet I ever tried.

Default moose/elk/bear drill

With a dose of 42gr of either N-204 or IMR 4350 and a 156-160gr bullet shoots through two moose and a fire hydrant.Plus you can eat right up to the bullet hole! ........the T-3 and Win FWT 70 won't stabilize the 160gr but will put the 156gr Sako bullet into one hole ? Deadly load in Swedish mausers as well.........Harold

So how the heck did you shoot 2 moose and a fire hydrant in town ?? and not get caught??.....

I went to the Woodliegh bullet in 140grs. and have not tried the 156-160gr. bullets in this rifle. But I did try them in my old swede and they worked well, only shot a rogue Hereford bull with them though....

Since switching to the Woodlieghs I have not felt any need to try any other bullets as they are made well, and are designed to do what their meant to do.
