Default Fall Bear Hunting Tactics

What is the best way to hunt bears in the fall where there is no oat fields at all nearby, like in Swan hills or fox creek for example. And is it better in early September or early October when they really get moving to fill up for winter? Any tips or advice?

Thanks

Was up in 353 a couple of weeks ago and saw a 8 bears in one day. They were in cutblocks feeding and the big boar that I saw was on a clover pipeline but ran as soon as it saw me.
