I'd start at 67grns of IMR 4831…..If I could find it. H4831 can be found as can IMR 7828 occasionally.
when in doubt, Check with a reloading manual or Hodgon site for start loads on 180grn bullets, drop a grain or 2 of powder for 185's and work up. Or email Berger and they will send you the info.
Good luck.

As hard as I've tried, I can't get VLD's to group in any rifles that I own, so can't help you with your 300 WM.

I note several differences with the data posted by Booner Sniper?????

I suggest you also check the data on the Hodgdon website. It often lists loads quite a bit higher than the Berger load suggestions, I have often found my best groups well above the Berger numbers.
Use CAUTION, start low and work up carefully.

Good Luck, YMMV

I use the 190 VLD in my 300 WM, with 69.5gr of RE 22, it's not a hunting rifle but that load is extremely impressive in my rifle. I use the 168 VLDs in my 308 Norma # 3206 fps and they work on any game you put them in. Just make a good shot and you will have no worries. Bad shot is a bad shot and no bullet will make up for that.
