Default A.R. Harding trapping books online.

This book is pretty interesting... about trap history.

In fact... I was looking thru the site I posted above and discovered there are a wealth of information in these old A.R.Harding trapping books online.

Some of the older trappers have probably read one or two a long time ago. Alot of information. There are six books listed on the site you can read in your browser.

Enjoy the link.

PLEASE DON'T ABUSE SOME OF THE INFORMATION. DEADFALLS AND SEVERAL TYPES OF TRAPS AND SETS ARE NOT ENCOURAGED TO BE USED TODAY.

Thank you Red Bullets for posting the information.

I still own most of those books.

I loved to read them when I was a kid.

And yes, don't mess with the deadfalls.

Thanks again Red Bullets.

Dead falls are legal and I know they can be efficient but I don't know that they are in use much anymore.

Just asking... do you think Alberta long liners use many deadfalls?

I ask only because when I taught the trapping course here in Alberta, we instructors made no mention of construction or use of deadfalls in the course materials or presentations.

The Harding books are a great collection to have. Luckily I can re-read them online nowadays.

No I don't think many folks use them. But it's nice to keep the technology alive, and a humane dispatch if set properly I'm thinking.
